"Live Feeling Fitnessly-Fulfilled"
Full of Life Fitness Body Blueprint
The Full of Fife Fitness Body Blueprint is a very specific plan that is used to get you to your individual goals. During this consultation, we learn about your health history, your past injuries, your training history along with your specific goals. We then take you through a range of motion and flexibility evaluation and the base of our blueprint – the Functional Movement Screen (FMS).
During the Functional Movement Screen, you perform basic movements so we learn about any physical imbalances you have that could eventually cause an injury. This screening is scored from a 1 - 21, with 21 being the best anyone can get.
Your FMS score will be incorporated into your blueprint and your fitness coach will guide you on what the next best step is for you. Also included in the Full of Life Fitness Body Blueprint are the following:
- Cardiovascular assessment
Based on your results, your FMS score, and your specific goals, we will find out exactly where your program should start and what it should include such as correcting your physical imbalances and problematic movement patterns. This allows us to get you started right!
More on FMS
FMS is a ranking and grading system that documents movement patterns that are key to normal function. By screening these patterns, the FMS readily identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. These are issues that can reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body awareness.
The FMS generates the Functional Movement Screen Score, which is used to target problems and track progress. This scoring system is directly linked to the most beneficial corrective exercises to restore mechanically-sound movement patterns. Those exercises are most effective to restore proper movement and build strength in each individual.
